Introduction
The God's Will Education Center, Kiburara strives to create a harmonious balance between academic demands, sporting and cultural activities and community life. The School challenges pupils to be intellectually inquisitive and socially conscious. The School believes that while what students know is vital, the true and realistic measure of a student's education is the ability to analyse what they do not know.
The School emphasises an integrated approach to teaching and learning whereby topics from different subject areas are connected together and integrated in a given theme to allow learning by exploration in a more natural, meaningful and interconnected manner to reflect interconnectedness of knowledge in the real life situation.
Founded on Christian principles and the vision of Director Katusabe Jacinta Abwooli - "Education is God's Will for Every Child" - the center is located in Kiburara, Western Uganda, serving children from Baby Class to Primary 7. We provide quality, affordable education with discipline, love, and God-fearing values.
School Population
God's Will Education Center has a growing student population of over 450 pupils from Baby to Primary 7. English is the medium of instruction and pupils study the Ugandan Primary Schools Curriculum, Baby – P.7. The Head Teacher (0776 697812) is assisted by 18 qualified teachers and 8 administrative support staff.
The School maintains small class sizes to ensure provision of individual support and encouragement to pupils to reach their full potential. All graduating P.7 pupils make successful transition to secondary schools of their choice and compete favourably with their counterparts. We nurture talent beyond academics.
Curriculum
We follow the Uganda National Curriculum for Primary Schools (Baby to P.7) enriched with Christian Religious Education, computer literacy, and life skills. Our teaching approach is child-centered, activity-based, and values-driven. Phonics for Baby-Middle-Top, strong foundation in English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies for Primary.
Sports
At God's Will, we firmly believe that sport is an integral part of the process of education. Sports activity helps inculcate a sense of team spirit, discipline, leadership, self-confidence and positive attitude. Pupils participate in football, netball, athletics, volleyball, and cultural music, dance and drama (MDD).
The School day includes physical education for all classes. We participate in inter-school competitions at Sub-County, District and Regional levels. Our MDD troupe has won several trophies. We believe in nurturing talents beyond academics.
Home School Links
God's Will Education Center believes in strong partnership between home and school. Parents are our partners. We hold regular Parent-Teacher meetings, open days, and maintain open communication with parents. Parents are encouraged to support learning at home, especially reading with young children.
Community Service
There is a Community Service Club that supports the elderly, people with disabilities and the less privileged in Kiburara community. Pupils organize charity, community cleaning, environmental conservation, and support for vulnerable families. Pupils learn that education is not just for self but for service to God and community - God's Will is to serve.
